We had an amazing weekend in Kerville Texas for the Austin Ridge Women's retreat. I was on the committee to do table decorations. I had a blast working with Jen Young and creating a natural centerpiece for our tables. I wanted to share how we put them together so you can recreate them for your own parties.
Cream gauzy material you can find at any fabric store.
Antique Hydrangea, Red Amaryllis
Grey Spanish Moss and green mood moss
Raffia/handmade gift wrap paper for table number tags(found at Anthropologie)
Moss balls-Michaels Craft Store
Wood letters A and B -unpainted from Hobby Lobby (we used red paint and glazed with an antique gold paint)
Candles (mercury glass votives were our own)
Birch Bark Tubes: (half of them were borrowed) you can find them: click on link
Here is our assembly line of fabulous helpers! We had mason jars, flowers, moss, twine, flowers and scissors all ready to go...thanks to Jen...she is amazingly organized.
First we stuffed the tubes with paper(any paper will work/newspaper, tissue paper)
Then we placed a tall mason/ball jar in the middle half filled with water
Next Add the spanish moss and green modd moss to the top to act as a filler
Finally cut your flowers and fill the vase.
Add rafia or twin and your table number to the tube.
I made this whimisical tree for the registration table. The vase was purchased at TJmaxx homegoods and the letters I glued moss too to tie into our mossy theme!
A little chocolate is never a bad idea for your guests. These are chocolate covered pomegranates and blueberries from Costco. The mercury bowl was purchased at HEB and the moss ball wreath is from West Elm. You can find the little topiary place card at Michaels craft store.
Have little glassine bags for your guests to fill up!
This was a beautiful weekend listening to Debbie Taylor Williams speak about the Plan A Woman in a Plan B World. If you ever get the pleasure to hear her you will be in for a treat. She is very animated and lights up the room when she speaks.
