This cute sock monkey idea came from a great children's book: Snooze a Palooza by American Girl. This little book has the cutest ideas for sleepovers. You can find games, recipes and crafts to do with your little girls. I will take you step by step with these monkeys. They only took us about 10 minutes to make and required no sewing.
1.Take one sock and turn it inside out. Take a rubberband and close it off about 1 inch under the heel.
2. Turn the sock right side out and fill it with about 4 inches of dried beans.
3. Once you have filled the sock with beans, cinch it with a rubberband and fold down the top of the sock to make a hat. Pinch some of the sock on each side of the face to make ears and cinch with a rubberband.
4. Then just glue on eyes and add whatever you want to make the sock monkey unique.
Here are our monkeys before they undergo a little style session.
Three Happy Little Monkeys! This would be a great activity at a child's birthday party. You can find the socks at Hobby Lobby on the isle with doll making products.
