I couldn't wait to show you a piece of my decor for the bridal shower I am giving my niece on Sunday. The theme is "Love Birds". You know me...I already have nests all over the place so it was only fitting.
I made this three tier box set a couple of years ago, but added some moss and the little birdies on top. You must go to Jenni Horne's website! She makes these adorable birds out of felt and is an amazing artist. She lives in Georgia and is so inspirational! I purchased the boxes from Hobby Lobby and painted them. Then decopauged some paper and added ribbon.
I love this box set because it looks like a three tiered cake! Yummy!
The menu will be yummy too: robin's egg blue macarons, coconut cupcakes, small two tiered fondant cake with flowers, cake bites on a stick, robin's egg blue jordan almonds, lavender lemon honey fruit tartlets...oh and there will be food too...Check back after this weekend. Have a great and chirpy day.
I have something exciting in the works! You will be seeing these tartlets in a video soon sponsored by Zinger Hardware. When ready you will see the video on my blogs and get the recipes! This one is a yummy Lavender Lemon Honey Tartlet with fresh fruit! I am proud to say I made this recipe up myself! I'll keep you posted.
After spending four hundred on two different hanging lamps from Anthropologie, I decided to use something I already had to hang over my kitchen island. This is a wood arch that I hung with four ropes and added candles and moss balls.
Here it is with some yellow flowers and a bird nest. I love using something out of the ordinary for my decor. This arch is light and gives me that architectural salvage look that I like.
Why are bird's nest so intriguing to decorate with? They make you feel like you have a little bit of nature all around you.
I hope I have inspired you to find something around your house to funktify too! Have a great Sunday.
